WebJul 1, 2024 · I was on Fosomax for about 4 months when my tooth cracked. My dentist office makes patients stop the medication 4 months for a root canal and 6 months for an extraction. My endocrinologist had to write a letter that it was safe for me to have a root canal. I can’t imagine waiting 4 To 6 months to fix a dental issue especially if you’re in pain.
